What needs to be assessed?
A notice must identify the work, the allegedly infringing material, contact details and the authority of the person making the request. It also involves statements of good faith and accuracy.
Copyright is not the same as image rights
A person's presence in a photograph does not, by itself, determine who owns the copyright. The strategy must consider both the origin of the work and how it has been used.
There are limits and challenges
A notice may receive a counter-notice. The process does not guarantee permanent removal and should not be used to suppress legitimate content.
